Day 1 & 2: Evening flight to Athens. Upon arrival, a local guide will meet the group and assist with the transfer to the hotel. After check in the group will have a walking tour of the Plaka district, which is located just below the Acropolis and is the oldest section of Athens. We will see Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Olympion Zeus before having dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: After breakfast, we will begin our guided city tour. We will visit the Acropolis and see the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike. Next we’ll visit Syntagma and Omonia Squares and go to Kallimarmaro Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympics. There will have free time to shop before dinner.

Day 4: After breakfast, the group will board a motor coach for an excursion to Delphi. Known in Ancient times as the center of the world and the place where the heavens met the earth. This was the home of the oracle of Delphi and people would travel from great distances to ask for guidance. We will have dinner upon our return to Athens. The group will determine the evening’s activity.

Day 5: After breakfast, the group will have a free day in Athens. The group will meet at the hotel before going to a local restaurant for dinner. The group will have a free evening.

Day 6: After breakfast, the group will check out of the hotel and head to the airport for the flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, a local tour guide will meet the group and assist with the transfer to the hotel. After check in, there will be time to relax and unpack. The group will have a free afternoon to shop and explore. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Day 7: After breakfast, the group will begin a guided tour of Istanbul. Visiting such sights as Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Hippodrome. We will also pay a visit toTopkapi and Rumeli Fortress both built by Sultan Mehmet II after the conquest by the Ottoman Turks in the 1400’s. We will have dinner at a local restaurant and a free evening.

Day 8: After breakfast the group will have a free day in Istanbul. We will have a farewell dinner and a free evening.

Day 9: After breakfast the group will check out of the hotel and depart for the airport for the flight home.
