Day 1: Evening departure with an overnight flight to Rome.

Day 2: Upon arrival in Rome, a local tour escort will meet the group to assist with the transfer to the hotel via motor coach. After check in the group will have time for refreshments before starting a walking tour of the Eternal City. The group will have dinner at a local restaurant, before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 3: After breakfast the group will start a guided tour of Ancient Rome via motor coach. We will visit the Colosseum, Constantin’s Arch, Forum Romanum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. After the city tour the group will have a free afternoon. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Day 4: After breakfast we will go to the Vatican City. While there we will visit the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel to view the breathtakingly beautiful ceilings, painted by Michelangelo, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the catacombs of St. Peter’s church. The group will have dinner at a local restaurant, and a free evening.

Day 5: After breakfast, we will board a motor coach for a guided excursion to Pompeii. We will visit this ancient city that was buried in 30 ft. of ash by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D., killing the town’s 2,000 inhabitants. After Pompeii we will drive to Positano on the Amalfi Coast, one there we will visit Santa Maria of Assunta Church and view it’s dome of majolica tiles. The group will have dinner upon their return to Rome, and will have a free evening.

Day 6: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and make our way to Assisi (via motor coach). Upon our arrival we will visit Assisi Basilica and Goito’s Frescoes. In the afternoon we will depart for Florence. Upon our arrival in Florence we will visit the Piazza Michelangelo, before checking into our hotel. After check in we will take a guided walking tour of the city and the have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7: After breakfast we will visit the Duomo, the Church of Santa Croce and the Accademia and in the afternoon we will go to the Uffitzi Gallery. We will have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: After breakfast, we will take a day trip to Volterra and San Gimignano. We will return to Florence for dinner and return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 9: After breakfast and check out, we will walk to the Piti Palace and visit the Boboli Gardens. We will have a free afternoon before starting our journey to Siena. Upon our arrival in Siena we will check into our hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 10: After breakfast we will start a half day guided tour of Siena. After the tour we will have a free afternoon. We will have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 11: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and start out journey to Rome. Upon our arrival in Rome we will check into our hotel and then have a free afternoon. We will have our farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 12: After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and depart for the airport via motor coach, to begin our journey home.
