Day 1: Evening departure with an
overnight flight to Madrid.
Day 2: Upon arrival in Madrid,
the group will be met by a local tour guide and brought by
motor coach into the city. When we arrive downtown we will
begin a guided city tour, with visits to the Prado Museum
and the Royal Palace. The tour will end at the hotel, where
we will check in and have time to rest and unpack. We will
have dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 3: After breakfast, we will
take a full day trip to Toledo. Once there we will visit the
Cathedral, the Alcazar, St. May’s Synagogue in the Old
Jewish Quarter and the El Greco Museum. We’ll return
to Madrid for dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast, we will
check out and drive to Cordoba. Upon arrival, we will check
into our hotel and then have a free afternoon. We will have
dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 5: After breakfast, we will
take a guided tour of the city including a visit to the La
Mesquita (the worlds 3rd largest mosque), the gardens of the
Alcazar and the Jewish Quarter with its medieval synagogue.
After lunch we will check out our hotel and start our drive
to Seville. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel and
have dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 6: After breakfast, we will
take a guided tour of the city. We will visit the Jewish Quarter,
the Old Tobacco Factory (setting for the opera Carmen) and
the Cathedral Sevilla, one of the largest gothic cathedrals
in the world. We will also go to the Alcazar. The group will
have free time before dinner.
Day 7: After breakfast, we will
take a full day trip to Granada including a visit to the Alhambra
Palace, the gardens of the Generalife and the Cathedral. We
will return to Seville that evening for dinner.
Day 8: After breakfast, we will
check out of the hotel and depart for Madrid. Upon our arrival
we will check into our hotel and have some free time to shop.
We will have dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 9: After breakfast, the group
will check out and depart for the airport for the flight home.
