Day 1: Arrive in DC and meet your EDUTrips Group Escort. We'll experience aviation history and the wonders of space flight at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, plus enjoy a thrilling IMAX film. We'll then reflect on one of the darkest periods of human history at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Dinner tonight will be in historic Old Town Alexandria, after which we'll thrill to chilling tales of the supernatural during our Ghost Tour of Old Town Alexandria.
Day 2: We'll meet our local Tour Guide this morning for a comprehensive DC City Tour. This information-packed sightseeing bus tour includes drives by the Capitol Building, Embassy Row, the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, the United States Navy Memorial, the Washington National Cathedral and a photo opportunity outside the White House at Lafayette Park.
Next we've got free time at the Old Post Office Pavillion before we head to Arlington National Cemetery, where we'll take the Tourmobile to such sites as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers for the changing of the guards, the Kennedy grave sites, the Women in Military Service for America Memorial, Arlington House, and the Robert E. Lee Memorial. Dinner and shopping tonight is in the vibrant Georgetown district.
Day 3: The first stop today is the US Capitol Building to meet your local US Representative, take time for group photo opportunities, and tour the Capitol Building. We'll visit historic Union Station and shop the mall concourse, then take our Monuments Tour, a comprehensive walking and/or bus tour which includes the FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial and the Washington Monument. After checking out DC's Memorials and Monuments we'll board the bus for our journey home.

We'll shop the Old Post Office Pavillion before our backstage tour of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. After dinner it's show time as we return to the Kennedy Center for the evening's performance.
Day 2: Today we'll visit some of our Country's greatest pop culture icons, from Dorothy's Ruby Slippers and Kermit the Frog, to Archie Bunker's chair and the Star Wars Droids, to a Babe Ruth signed baseball and Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves, all at the newly reopened National Museum of American History. We'll stroll the Washington National Mall and then check out one of DC's newest hot spots, the National Museum of Crime and Punishment, as we explore the notorious history of crime, crimefighting techniques, and the consequences of getting caught! In the evening we cruise the Potomac River and cut loose with a fun night of shipboard dinner and dancing!

Day 4: Today we'll explore our heritage with the DC Monuments Tour, a comprehensive walking and/or bus tour which includes the FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial and the Washington Monument. After lunch we'll hit another of DC's newest attractions, the aptly named Newseum, whose fourteen major galleries blend five centuries of news history with up-to-the-minute current events, before returning home.

Day 4: History speaks directly to our hearts on the DC Monuments Tour, a comprehensive walking and/or bus tour which includes the FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Viet Nam War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial and the Washington Monument. Next we travel to Mount Vernon for a tour of George Washington's Mansion and estate.
Day 5: Today our urban safari takes us to the Washington National Zoological Park, where we'll visit with adorable Pandas, magnificent Great Apes and more creatures great and small. After the zoo we'll head to one of DC's newest attractions, Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals Baseball team. Our tour of this brand new ballpark includes the chance to throw a pitch in the National's bullpen. After winding up in the bullpen we wind up our trip and head for home.
